Attracting big investments


JOHOR BARU: The country’s investment authority hopes to attract at least 20 local conglomerates and multinational companies (MNCs) to use Malaysia as a base for conducting their regional and global businesses by the end of this year.

Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) chief executive oficer Datuk Azman Mahmud said that since the principal hub (PH) scheme was introduced in May last year, so far 15 companies have joined the scheme with business spending totalling RM8.69bil.
