Sarawak state government to reinstate powers through ongoing negotiations


KUCHING: The state government is seeking to restore Sarawak’s rights as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement, through its ongoing negotiations with the Federal Government.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg said some of these rights, spelt out in Article 8 and Annexes A and C of the Agreement, had been eroded over the years.
