100 artists give visual treat at international fest


Oil paintings titled, Mother & Child (left) by Tin Win from Myanmar, and Invoking Mystery: The Legend of Dewi Sriby Indonesian artist Lugi Lugiono are on display at the Daiichi Art Space in Argyll Road, George Town, until tomorrow.

ART enthusiasts can look forward to admiring the works of 100 well-known artists from Austria, China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mauritius, Myanmar, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia at thesecond Malaysia International Art Biennale 2016.

Organised by the Daiichi Modern Art Gallery of Sungai Petani, Kedah, in conjunction with Visit Kedah Year 2016, the event runs concurrently with Daiichi Modern Art Gallery in Sungai Petani (from July 13 to Aug 12) and Daiichi Art Space in Argyll Road, George Town (from July 6 to tomorrow).
