Appeal for funds to help hit-and-run accident victim

A hit-and-run accident has left 17-year-old Tang Miu Peng critically injured and her family in a lurch as they are now having trouble settling her medical fees amounting to RM200,000.

The SMK Buntong student’s older sister Ooi Leng, 24, who works as a nurse, said Miu Peng suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was critically ill after being involved in the accident on July 6. She had to undergo three emergency operations at a hospital here on the same day.
