THE POWER to act against parking touts lies with the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and not the Ipoh City Council, said Ipoh Mayor Datuk Zamri Man said.
“Following numerous calls for the council to curb the menace, we have looked up the laws pertaining to the matter and confirmed that unlawful activities that take place in parking lots under the jurisdiction of the JPJ comes under the purview of the said department.
