THE Church of the Assumption in Farquhar Street is hoping to raise RM2mil to fund its restoration project which will see the church being restored to its original 1928 condition.
Penang Titular Roman Catholic Bishop Rev Sebastian Francis said the church was first built in 1860 and completed in 1861.
