GOOD command of English will be an advantage for the future generation, and that was what led Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng tosponsor The Star’s Step Up and Newspaper-in-Education (NiE)pullouts for primary pupils in his constituency.

The schools — SJK (C) Hu Yew Seah in Madras Lane, SJK (C) Heng Ee in Macalister Road and SK Tan Sri P. Ramlee in Jalan Timah —that benefited from the RM5,000 sponsorship are the only primary schools in the Komtar constituency.
