KUCHING: Bubur pedas is really special and very tasty. It’s a dish that originated from West Kalimantan and then adapted by the Sarawakian Malays who are especially fond of breaking fast with it.
Bubur pedas, which literally translates as spicy porridge, is unique to Sarawak like the kek lapis. But unlike the intricately made cakes (with its seemingly endless variety of flavours), bubur pedas is not nearly as famous.
