String of dumplings in Jalan Alor sets new record

More than 100 hawkers and traders in Jalan Alor contributed by making and tying the dumplings to the record-breaking line.

THE record for the longest Chinese dumpling line in the country was broken after 10 years by the Jalan Alor Hawkers and Traders Association.

Meticulously prepared and tied, about 5,200 pieces of dumpling were strung up along the entire stretch of Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur. The dumpling line was 520m-long, beating the previous record of 300m set in 2005.
