SIBU: The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) could have won more seats in the May 7 state election had its splintere group UPP not taken away its traditional seats to contest as a Barisan direct candidate.
Speaking at the SUPP’s 57th anniversary on Saturday, its Bawang Assan Branch Chairman Robert Lau Hui Yew said the party could have won Bawang Assan, Dudong and Pujut in the urban areas and the rural seats of Opar, Engkilili and Mambong.
