MALACCA: Business premises in the Unesco Heritage City could have their licences revoked for failing to provide biodegradable bags and environmentally-friendly food packaging.

Currently, many outlets including multinational companies, often give excuses whenever customers ask for bags at the counter after Malacca banned petroleum based plastic bags or polystyrene food packs from Jan 1.
