New locker facility to pick and post parcels

A PosLaju EziBox kiosk where customers can use a one-time PIN to pick up their parcels from the lockers.

POS Malaysia Bhd has launched a free and convenient facility for the public called the “PosLaju EziBox”, which is set to revolutionise parcel delivery in the country.

Available to end-consumers for free with 24/7 accessibility, these parcel lockers enable customers to pick-up parcels at any time at their convenience in just three simple steps.

Pos Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh said, “We are constantly studying the changing lifestyles of our customers and striving to deliver added convenience and choices for them.

“The introduction of PosLaju EziBox is one of the initiatives to better serve our customers’ e-commerce needs where they can now get faster, flexible and free accessibility that is closer to their homes or offices.”

Under this facility, customers will receive an SMS notifying them to collect their parcel at a PosLaju EziBox within 48 hours along with a secure one-time PIN number.

Customers will then have to use the PIN number to open the lockers and collect their parcels.

The PosLaju EziBox now primarily caters to service-missed PosLaju deliveries to customers who were not at home to receive their parcels.

Their parcels will be sent to the nearest PosLaju EziBox for them to collect within 48 hours on receiving an SMS notification by PosLaju.

This service will be extended to online shoppers as an alternative to PosLaju shipping or sending directly to the customer’s address.

The PosLaju EziBox is now ready and available at Pos Malaysia e-Commerce Hub at Level 1, Dayabumi Complex in Kuala Lumpur, Gombak LRT station, Johor Baru General Post Office, Chukai Post Office, Gombak Post Office, Sungai Besi Post Office, Bangi PosLaju Outlet, Taman Connaught Shell station, Damansara Jaya Shell station and Kelana Jaya Post Office.

“We will study customers’ response to the PosLaju EziBox service and finetune the processes so that our customers get maximum benefit from this new way of receiving their parcels.

“If customers respond well to the service, we plan to have 60 PosLaju EziBox nationwide this year.

“This will take our total customer base beyond 1,200.

“We are also looking at the possibility of placing PosLaju EziBox at many more strategic locations, such as around LRT stations as well as residential and office areas that are accessible to the public round the clock.

“There are also plans to eventually allow customers post parcels via the PosLaju EziBox,” added Mohd Shukrie.
