THE Federal Government should advise the Kedah government to gazette water catchment areas in Ulu Muda that collect water for Sungai Muda, says Penang Water Supply Corporation Sdn Bhd (PBAPP).
Its chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa said gazetting the catchment areas would protect the river as a raw water source and prepare them better in facing prolonged dry season.
