Muscleman to do well in Mr Malaysia

SIBU: Master bodybuilder, Farrokh Ibtisam Ting is all set for the 2016 Mr Malaysia Bodybuilding Championship after capturing two local titles this year.

On April 9, he won the Mr Sibu Bodybuilding championship for the 70.01 kg and above category. On Sunday, he showed consistency by winning the Mr Giant Bodybuilding Championship in the same category.

He also bagged the Champion of the Champions contest organised by Giant Hypermarket and Solid Gym.

Farrokh, who will be competing in 2016 Mr Malaysia Bodybuilding championship in Sibu from May 20-22, walked home with a total of RM800 shopping voucher and a trophy.

On the bigger, upcoming competition he said: “I am ready this time compared with last year. I hope to finish in the best position that I can,” he said.

Another seasoned bodybuilder, Alfie Khan picked up the Best Poser prize at the Mr Giant Bodybuilding championship. Alfie had earlier beat the other three contestants to win the 65.1kg-70kg category.

Meanwhile, the Sibu Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Association will be organising Mr Malaysia for the first time.

The event will see more than 150 selected bodybuilders from 16 contingents throughout the country taking part.
