KUCHING: Sarawak's new Cabinet line-up is “the best line-up” in ensuring continuity of the Barisan Nasional leadership under Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem, said Sarawak BN Youth chief Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
He said the appointment of three deputy chief ministers was most apt as this would further strengthen the state administration in fulfilling the promises made for the 11th Sarawak state election.
“Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas who is very experienced at federal level and Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg and Tan Sri Dr James Masing who both have vast experience at state level, make a good combination.
“This is to assist the chief minister in implementing new policies which always put the interests of the people above all else," Fadillah said in a statement here on Saturday.
“With the new cabinet, Tan Sri Adenan Satem has fulfilled his promises to the Chinese community, the majority of whom returned to support BN,” said the Works Minister.
This was seen in the appointment of Senator Datuk Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian as Local Government Minister and Datuk Dr Seri Wong Soon Koh remaining as Second Finance Minister, he added. — Bernama
