KUANTAN, 1 Mei -- Menteri Besar Pahang Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob (dua kiri) menyerahkan replika cek kepada pemain golf kebangsaan Mohd Shaaban Mohd Hussin yang diwakili adiknya Mohammad Akhir (tengah) pada pertandingan Golf Amal pasukan Menteri Besar menentang pasukan bekas pelajar Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Ahmad Shah di Mahkota Golf dan Country Club (MGCC), dekat Kuantan, Ahad. Hadir sama Setiausaha Kerajaan Pahang Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail (dua kanan). KUANTAN: Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob has ordered relevant government departments and agencies to immediately investigate allegations that the main cause for Sungai Pahang becoming shallow and dry was due to excessive logging in Hulu Tembeling.
Adnan said the probe was to determine whether the fall in the water level was caused by logging or because of other factors such as extreme hot weather due to the El Nino phenomenon currently sweeping the country.
