THE inaugural Kedah Padi Heritage Festival 2016, themed Sesuap Nasi, Warisan Padi (A Mouthful of Rice, Padi Heritage) was launched at the Ong Chuan Hin Rice Mill in Tanjung Pauh, Jitra, Kedah.
The festival, which is aimed at highlighting the livelihood and cultures practiced by the Malay, Chinese and Siamese communities in Kedah, was divided into two sections – Pentas Tradisi Padi (Traditional Padi Platform) and Pentas Warisan Padi (Heritage Padi Platform).
