HERE’S something to make you think: Can beauty be a conscious choice, rather than just a God-given gift?
L’Oreal Malaysia consumer product division senior public relations manager Connie Ng said Maybelline’s new tagline “Make It Happen” is all about inspiring women to define their beauty, live their life and make it happen.
“As a beauty brand that is close to women, we realised the need to change the way we communicate, especially to the new millennial who already know what they want, so as to reflect the way they live, think and act today.
“In the previous tagline, women were defined by the look she was ‘born with’ and this can be transformed with Maybelline make-up.
“With the new tagline, the ‘It’ is a powerful word – implying it is now in her hands to define and make things happen,” said Ng.
In line with the new tagline, the cosmetics brand invited Nuraini Mohd Noore, better known as Tuti, the sole Malaysian who qualified for the fourth cycle of Asia’s Next Top Model, to share her pursuit of her dreams.
“For me, Maybelline’s wide range of products allows me to exercise my creativity in defining my look of the day. All I need to do is pick up a product and make it happen.
“This makes me feel like anything is possible as long as I dare to imagine, including my dream to be Asia’s next top model,” she said.
During the meet-and-greet session held at Watsons Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya, guests were also given some handy make-up tips by celebrity artist Stevensunny, who demonstrated his professional skills on Tuti.
The Maybelline Make It Happen Meet and Greet session was held in partnership with Asia’s Next Top Model 4 and Watsons Malaysia.
