SNOWWorld Springtime Wonderland, clowns, cheerleaders, balloon fest and Old Master Q are the highlights of this year’s Genting International Children’s Festival that promises to be even bigger and better than before.
The festival will be held from March 12 to 20 and will thrill lovers of carnivals and fairs. All activities except for the SnowWorld Springtime Wonderland will be extended to May 8.
The Genting International Children’s Festival will feature a parade of clowns joining cheerleaders, a balloon fest featuring hundreds of balloons and Old Master Q in lending a festive atmosphere to one of Resorts World Genting’s most exciting annual events.
Along with his friends, Old Master Q, the well-loved comic book character, will deliver a live show daily at the resort. The shows will be held at noon, 5.30pm and 8pm.
The Main Stage of Times Square where the Old Master Q live show is held, is also the venue for a Clown Comedy show and a dance performance.
The show will consist of clowns juggling pins and balls making for a great photo opportunity.
Over at Universal Walk at First World Plaza, the balloon fest includes a giant balloon monkey as its centrepiece, a balloon show at the Mini Platform and even a balloon pet shop.
The festival will have one of the biggest giant balloons in a shape of a monkey in conjunction with the Year of the Monkey.
Other eye-catching giant balloon structures depicting animals such as lions, elephants and hippopotamus will also be on display.
The main highlight of the festival will be the resort-wide clown fest that features clowns on parade.
A total of 16 clowns will spread gaiety and bring merriment to all.
The finale of the parade is at Boulevard at Times Square.
Another venue promising exciting action is Rainforest where a special cheerleading show is scheduled, featuring the award-winning Cheer Aces from Subang Jaya.
The cheerleaders will wow spectators with their lively performance and will also conduct a coaching session, teaching guests some simple steps.
Cheer Aces were the bronze award winners at Asia Cheerleading Invitational Championship 2015.
The SnowWorld Springtime Wonderland which is organised as part of the Genting International Children’s Festival offers loads of “eggs-tra” fun activities.
During the Easter weekend from March 25 to 27 at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, there will be various activities and adventures with prizes to be won.
Like the theme suggests, SnowWorld comes alive with numerous pastel-colours, in this case they are all eggs. These eggs are placed at the key photo spots; offering visitors great photo opportunities as they enjoy in the winter atmosphere.
Activities including arts and crafts are also in store. Kids are welcome to join the Egg-venture Hunt to search for the hidden “eggs” or test their skills at Eggs Rolling for a unique experience.
Guests may also want to take the challenge presented by Eggs-cellent Memory Match which builds one’s memory and tests memorising skills.
Eggs-citing Arts & Crafts will be where children get to learn to make something unique using their creativity and imagination.
Lastly, take a guess at the Guess the Eggs Eggs-exercise to stand a chance to win a 2D/1N stay in First World Hotel.
