Forest fires may disrupt highway travel plans

MIRI: Goods transporters and bus and taxi operators are worried that forest fires will disrupt their travel plans from Sarawak to Brunei and Sabah.

If the fires occur near the Pan Borneo highway connecting Kuala Baram district in northern Sarawak to the Kuala Belait district in Brunei, the resulting smoke can make the highway dangerous for vehicles.
