KUCHING: Residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan Kuching and children from the Salvation Army Children’s and Boys’ Homes were given a treat by SugarBun in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.
At Rumah Seri Kenangan, which is temporarily located at the Samarahan Rehabilitation Centre, 65 senior citizens and 26 staff members enjoyed a special lunch of SugarBun meals.
In a separate function, the fast-food restaurant chain treated 76 children from both the Children’s Home and Boys’ Home, together with four caretakers, to dinner at its outlet in Hills Shopping Mall.
All of them were treated to SugarBun Prosperity Meals comprising Fish and Broasted Chicken Rice with drinks and oranges.
At both functions, the management of SugarBun presented the senior citizens and children with angpows. They were also entertained by lion dance performances.
Marketing manager Tony Ngu thanked the Welfare Department and Salvation Army for their cooperation in allowing SugarBun to share the celebration with their resi- dents.
“We hope our gesture can bring cheer and the joy of sharing to the community,” he said.
