THE WEATHER was hot and bright and the sun was certainly shining on Tan Sri Kong Cho Ha as he was all smiles for the Chinese New Year open house at his residence in Sitiawan on the first day of the New Year.
Kong and his wife Puan Sri Chan Tat Chin were busy greeting hundred of guest and even took the time to take photos with them.
The highlight of the open house was the array of dishes available for the multi-ethnic guests.
While there was an abundance of mandarin oranges, there was also plenty of muruku, rendang and satay, which proved to be popular with guests.
Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his wife Datin Seri Saripah Zulkifli were among the hundreds of guest at the open house.
The God of Prosperity also made an appearance during the event and was busy greeting children, and even went up to Kong, who is also Lumut MCA and Port Klang Authority chairman, and Zambry to wish them all the best in their careers.
People also took the opportunity to take a photo against a backdrop photo inspired by the Year of the Moneky.
Kong constantly greeted the crowd and even told them to take pictures with the wise monkeys.
He said wishes all Malaysians a prosperous Chinese New Year and hopes to see the unity among Malaysians strengthened in the years to come.
