MALACCA: Philea Resort and Spa in Ayer Keroh swings into the Year of Monkey with a selection of enticing Chinese New Year Reunion set menus.
Guests can opt for one of the three set promotion menus meticulously prepared by Chinese chef Wang Huee Suan and his team.
The Prosperity Menu priced at RM998 for 10 pax starts with Traditional Salmon Yee Sang.
This option’s highlights include Double-boiled Black Chicken with Chinese Herbs, Crispy Chicken with Mongolian Sauce, Steamed Red Snapper with Supreme Soy Sauce, Wok Fried Prawns with Corn and Egg Yolk, Stewed Mixed Vegetables Wrapped in Beancurd Skin and Chinese Fried Rice with Abalone Sauce.
End the meal with Chilled Sea Coconut with Longan.
The Abundance menu prices at RM1,180 for 10 pax starts with Mini Octopus Yee Sang.
Other dishes include Double-boiled Black Chicken with Dried Scallop, Crispy Chicken with Mongolian Sauce, Hong Kong Style Steamed Dragon Grouper, Wok Fried Prawns with Pumpkin Butter, Fried Squid with Asparagus in XO Sauce and Cantonese Style Wok Fried Mee Sua Noodle.
Those who prefer a more lavish option may choose the Auspicious Menu priced at RM1,280 for ten.
This feast of indulgence includes Mini Octopus and Salmon Yee Sang, Double-boiled Black Chicken with Dried Scallop and Limpet, Roasted Duck with Szechuan Sesame Sauce, Steamed Dragon Grouper with Fragrant Garlic and Soya Sauce, Wok Fried King Prawns with Mongolian Sauce, Braised Mushrooms with Abalone and Vegetables and Prawns and Pine Nuts Fried Rice.
The sumptuous meal ends with Chilled Sea Coconut with Homemade Lemongrass Jelly.
There will also be a variety of yee sang available from now to Feb 22 at Cravo Cravo Restaurant in the resort.
The options include Fresh Fruit Yee Sang, Salmon Yee Sang, Mini Octopus Yee Sang and Salmon Yee Sang, priced from RM88 nett to RM128 nett per order.
There is also a Chinese New Year Dinner Buffet offering a host of traditional delicacies.
Classic dishes, including Peking Duck and Double-boiled soups, are prepared using the freshest local ingredients.
Other mains include Steamed Fish with Ginger Soya Sauce, Wok Fried Prawns with Mongolian Sauce and Stewed Mixed Vegetables.
Leave some room for the dessert options like Glutinous Rice Ball with Pandan Flavour and Chilled Honeydew Melon with Sago.
The buffet is priced at RM98 nett for adults and RM58 nett for children between the age of four and 11 years as well as senior citizens aged 60 and above.
