Urban village gets door-to-door rubbish collection

THE urban village of Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara’s current bin-collection point system, where waste is piled at certain areas for collection, ends this month and will be replaced with door-to-door collection.

Petaling Jaya City Council’s (MBPJ) Solid Waste Management Unit head Lee Lih Shyan informed the villagers of the new system during a council event to distribute new 120-litre wheelie bins as part of the first phase.
