Smear campaign against cervical cancer

Participantswearing placards and smeared lipstick during the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital cervical cancer awareness walk at the Penang Botanic Gardens.

WHILE most people were still in bed, about 100 gathered at the Penang Botanic Gardens at dawn with placards and mouths smeared with lipstick.

The participants were seen helping each other to daub red lipsticks outside the corners of the mouth for the walk themed ‘Female Power Fights Cervical Cancer’.
