FOR the past 22 years, Muslim-convert Zarina Abdullah has been celebrating Ponggal without fail at her home in Taman Gottlieb, Penang.

Joined by her guests from various religions and beliefs, the 62-year-old housewife said the festival was a thanksgiving celebration to Mother Nature for bountiful harvest.
