SAYONG in Kuala Kangsar has evolved from being the birthplace of the labu sayong (a water pitcher made from earthenware clay) to one of the largest ceramic producers in the country.

In the past two decades or so, labu sayong producers started making various items inspired by the labu sayong as demand for the gourd-shaped water pitchers dwindled.
