Hefty fines for smokers at highway rest areas


Dr Juita reminds citizens that smoking is banned in the entire premises of a rest area.

A TOTAL of 33 people were slapped with a hefty fine of RM250 each after they were found smoking at highway rest areas throughout Perak.

State Health Department director Datuk Dr Juita Ghazalie said the fines were issued along with 32B notices during a two-day enforcement operation in 18 rest areas involving 103 officers.
