LONG BEDIAN: The much-anticipated wireless telecommunication and Internet projects initiated by the Federal Government in interior Sarawak have not taken off as planned.

Although telecommunication towers have been put up, the telephone frequency and Internet coverage is still very poor resulting in rural folk unable to utilise mobile phones or Internet.
