BENTONG: Hundreds of guests partied the night away on Christmas eve at Colmar Tropicale here.
They were there for the annual Christmas Eve gala dinner in the French-themed resort in Berjaya Hills.
Locals as well as foreign guests came together to enjoy the evening in the Yuletide spirit.
The event started with Berjaya Hills staff welcoming guests with Christmas carols before dinner.
There was a Latin American touch to this year’s event with Cuban dancers performing “hot” numbers while guests enjoyed their buffet dinner.
Dishes included honey roasted quail and lamb shanks as well as an assortment of Christmas cakes.
Guests were later treated to an acrobatic show by contortionists from Shanghai as well as dance performances from the musical Grease.
They also had a chance to go up on stage to play fun-filled family games.
Berjaya Hills chief executive officer Teh Ming Wah said the dinner had been a yearly event since 2002.
She said there would also be a street party in the Colmar Tropicale square on New Year’s Eve.
“This is also a yearly event that many look forward to.
“We will have a fireworks display while guests count down to the new year,” Teh said.
Colmar Tropicale is modelled after an actual 16th-century village in Alsace, France.
