Christians thank CM for pledge on equal treatment and freedom to practise faith

About 10,000 people participated in the Christmas parade, some carrying posters while a few were dressed as shepards.

SIBU: Christians from the various denominations here thanked the Chief Minister for making the assurance that the state government would give equal treatment to all religions in terms of land allocation, financial assistances, freedom to practise their faith and freedom of usage of lan-guage.

Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference president Wong Koi Fo told the annual Christmas parade on Saturday night that the statement by Tan Sri Adenan Satem in a similar parade in Miri a week earlier was timely and a welcome respite by the Christians here.
