Covered drain gratings cause of flash floods, say residents

The drains along Jalan Jelutong just outside of Hin Hua High School have been covered with concrete.

A CONTRACTOR appointed by the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) to resurface the inner service road off Jalan Jambatan Kota, at the entrance to Jalan Saga, had also covered the drain gratings above a storm drain, leading to flash floods.

Resident Lee Wee Cheong said the irresponsible act had led to flooding in his garden and car porch.
