Restored temple to reopen

AFTER being closed for almost three years, the Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi temple in Armenian Street Ghaut, Penang, will reopen to the public from next month.

Kongsi chairman Cheah Swee Huat said the kongsi would celebrate its 205th anniversary on Wednesday with over 1,200 people including clansmen heads from 14 state associations and delegations from Thailand, Cambodia, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong expected to attend.
