SEVERAL musicians on the pub circuit will get together at Ol’ Skool Bistro in Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, this Sunday for a music marathon to raise funds for bassist ‘Fats’ Paranthaman Ragavadass, who was admitted to the University Malaya Medical Centre after suffering a heart attack two weeks ago.
Fats, as he is affectionately known among musicians, pub goers and friends, had his right leg amputated four months ago due to worsening diabetes. On Nov 3, while visiting a dialysis centre for treatment, Fats collapsed at the centre after feeling dizzy. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack.
