Mayor: We will remove signboards and charge owners

JOHOR BARU: Premises with signboards that do not comply with the Johor Baru City Council’s (MBJB) safety requirements will risk having the structures dismantled by an enforcement team and the cost charged to the respective MBJB accounts.

Mayor A. Rahim Nin said that enforcement officers had dismantled at least 13 signboards since the Ops Turun started on Oct 1 and would continue until the ruling that does not allow advertisement boards to exceed 20x4 ft takes effect on Jan 1 next year.
