Visitors throng bazaar for last-minute Deepavali preparations

THE DEEPAVALI Carnival in Little India, Ipoh, was a hive of activity in the days leading up to the festival as the Indian community thronged the area over the weekend to shop for clothing, food and other necessities for the festival.

The festive atmosphere was in full swing as shoppers flocked to the carnival housing almost 200 stalls and shops offering a variety of products, including traditional delicacies, clothes, CDs and DVDs, spices, kacang putih, henna art, fresh flowers and decorative items.
