THE Sarawak Women for Women Society (SWWS) deserves a thumbs-up for highlighting abuse against women and calling for more concerted and focused measures to address the issue.
It held a forum on “Abuse: Old Issues - New Contexts” a week ago to discuss what further action was needed to ensure that the intentions of the Domestic Violence Act and laws protecting children were fully realised.
