Yew: Only 50 apply to legalise hotels

OUT of the 221 unlicensed hotels in Penang, seven operators have received permanent hotel licences and 50 have submitted their licence applications since last year.

The remaining operators, mostly on the island, have yet to do anything about their illegal status.
