Deepavali cheer comes early

SOME 60 low-income families, single mothers, senior citizens and city council staff who work in the Tanjung Bungah area were treated to hampers filled with essentials at an event organised by the Taman Seri Setia Development and Security Committee.

The event held at the Tanjung Bungah market in Penang was to wish the residents a happy Deepavali as well as to ease the burden of some of the residents there.
