Compulsory safety course for all fishermen

KUANTAN: The Fisheries Department is considering making it compulsory for all fishermen to undergo a safety at sea course next year.

Its deputy director-general (management) Johari Ramli said to ensure fishermen attend the course, certificates would be issued and those who did not undergo it would not have their licences renewed.
