high-end children’s boutique, Kids Around, at The Gardens Mall, launched a new French label called Carrement Beau recently.
Asia Worldwide Fashion Sdn Bhd, the company which owns the boutique, held the launch themed “Paint the Town Beau” at its premises at Gardens Mall.
The event was attended by mothers and their children all dressed in blue.
After the welcome speech by the company chief executive officer Brian John Yim, six selected child models performed a short catwalk showcasing the clothes.
The models surprised the audience when they went inside the window showcase of Kids Around and posed together with the mannequins.
The company executive director Matthew Benjamin Yoon also took to the stage to talk about the new brand.
“Beau” in French means beautiful, and the brand was inspired by the simplicity and elegance of the Parisian fashion style, he said.
After a photo session, the guests were taken to Pelikan, where the children were taught how to do canvas painting.
To match the event’s theme, even the pastries, courtesy of Free Mori, were in blue.
The winners of the best canvas artwork were each presented with a blue trophy and certificate.
The best dressed mother and child of the day also won a trophy and a prize, sponsored by Nilai Crystal and Laurastar.
Kids Around offers a wide collection of kids’ clothing, bags, shoes and other accessories, selected for their style and quality.
It caters to children up to 16 years old, and houses several labels such as Boss, Hugo Boss, Chloe, Karl Lagerfeld, DKNY, Little Marc Jacobs and Timberland.
The boutique is the first Kids Around store in Asia. Other stores are being opened worldwide in London, Milan, Moscow, Madrid, Saudi Arabia, Beirut and Panama, with more to come next year.
