New high security ID proposed to resolve migrant woes


KOTA KINABALU: A new high security identity card is among some of the recommendations on the cards as a special technical committee continues their study on the Royal Commission of Inquiry report on illegal immigrants.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who heads the special committee, said that they were in the final stages of completing a report based on the feedback given to find a solution to the state’s migrant problem.
