THE Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB) has taken over the management of the 103-year-old Sri Selva Vinayagar Hindu Paripalana Devasthanam in Jalan Besar, Prai, near Butterworth, with effect from Saturday.
Board chairman Dr P. Ramasamy said the takeover was pursuant to Section 4 of the Hindu Endowment Ordinance (Ordinance 17 of 1905), that is with the approval of the Penang government and the consent of the Yang di-Pertua Negri.
