Khor: Seafood is much lower in cholesterol compared with red meat

SEAFOOD cooked the right way and taken in moderate amounts will not lead to spikes in one’s cholesterol level, according to a dietician.

Khor Su Mee from Penang Hospital said that while fish was low in cholesterol, it was also safe to consume other seafood such as prawns, cockles and mussels as they were not high in cholesterol compared with red meat or organs.
