RUNNERS participating in the inaugural FitForLife Run tomorrow can quench their thirst after the event with Keluarga Utama Sdn Bhd’s nutritious chocolate malt drinks.
The company is sponsoring 6,000 cups of the drink at the event.
It will also be giving away 2,520 bottles of drinking water.
Its director Golden Phuah Gim Chong said the company is always supportive of sports-related events.
“We want the public to lead a healthy lifestyle and this event is a good initiative to stress on the importance of good health.
“It’s an ideal way of creating awareness about health among the people,” he said after handing over the sponsorship to Star Media Group Bhd advertising representative M. Prakash on Thursday.
Phuah said the sponsorship was also part of the company’s branding strategy to introduce various types of products to consumers.
He added that the company looked forward to being a loyal supporter of the event in the future.
Phuah said products branded under Keluarga included rice, chocolate malt drinks, instant noodles, condensed milk, flour, cooking oil, sugar, canned sardines and detergent.
The run will be held in con-junction with the FitForLife Fair Penang 2015 and the runners will be flagged off from SPICE Arena, Relau, at 7.30am.
People interested in keeping fit can look forward to getting tips from experts about various health issues at the fair which ends tomorrow.
Organised by The Star with Great Eastern Life as the event partner and Nestle Omega Plus as the wellness sponsor, the fair will be open from 10am to 7pm.
