Ensuring quality of produce at markets


A joint operation was held by DBKL, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry and Fama to check on vegetables and fruits as well as traders following the GPL regulations at the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market in Selayang.

A wholesaler has been hauled to court for not complying with the Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority’s (Fama) grading, packaging and labelling (GPL) regulations.

Fama enforcement unit director Mohd Nawawi Harun said action was taken against the company for failing to label its products.
