College students to raise funds for disabled kids

ALWAYS keeping the needs of disabled children close to heart, some 20 college students are organising a charity dinner to raise funds for the Penang Handicapped Welfare Association.

The Diploma in Mass Communication students from Inti International College Penang are organising the ‘Help the Stars’ event from 7pm at the Lee Sih Chong Soo Hall in Burmah Road on Oct 11.

Their spokesman Angeline Cheah (pic), 19, said: “We feel the need to raise funds for disabled children as some of them do not have a chance to even obtain proper education.

“We strongly believe that each and every child born into this world deserves a proper education.”

Tickets to the charity dinner are available at RM50 each.

Angeline added: “We are targeting to raise RM10,000 for the association and we hope the public can donate generously to this event.”
