Nepalese children to get a new school

Happy achievement: Goh (in red) and other Lions Club members celebrating raising more than RM128,000 (part of the RM250,000) for the rebuilding of the Basanta Primary School in Nepal.

ONE hundred and fifty children in Nepal will be blessed with a new school after their old one was destroyed in an earthquake in April, all thanks to the Lions Club of Bayan Baru, Penang.

Its charter president Datuk Goh Eng Hoe said the new Basanta Primary School in a remote highland area of Nepal would have five classrooms with tables and chairs as well as proper toilets.
