Mentri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) organised a seminar to look into sustainable solutions for waste management as a result of limited land, growing population and waste being generated at an alarming rate and filling up at existing landfills in Selangor.

In his opening remarks at the seminar held in the Shah Alam Convention Centre, Mentri Besar Azmin Ali said about 8,000 tonnes of solid waste was produced in the state each day and only about half of it went to proper landfills.
