SIBU: Pomp and gaiety marked the 79th birthday celebration of Head of State Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud with a parade attended by more than 10,000 people.
Held on a fine weather on Saturday amidst a hazy atmosphere at the town square, the crowd from the different races and religions showed how they could come together, united in diversity to witness this joyous occasion.
